Alisha Persaud is a Guyanese-American born and based in New Jersey. She has always had a passion for working in both the sciences and humanities. Alisha is an undergraduate student aspiring to pursue an occupation in the field of Particle Physics. Though, as a National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) volunteer in her home state, she additionally prioritizes social work, education, and advocacy during her endeavors of art and science.

From childhood to (now) adulthood, Alisha has always been a "big feelings" person, as she describes it.  She stubbornly learned that there are many colorful ways to interpret the world around her, as well as herself. Today, she repurposes her "big feelings" to exemplify that there is more to experience than sinking in them. She has accepted her reality always being in flux. She feels affirmed as long as she has her passions to help her adapt. She wishes to encourage others to embrace non-linearity.

Alisha always has a lot to express, especially when she cannot articulate it. So, her values are rooted in her visceral feelings about the world. She merely hopes to convey them through her creativity and leave the message up to the interpretation of others. She wants to nurture and maintain curiosity in the human experience. Living in a post-truth society, she is driven to kindle curiosity through art, imagination through science, and resilience through social work.

Website always under construction.
